On 24th April this year, the St. Helena National Trust became a registered charity. This currently enables any visitor coming here to work for the Trust to waive the Landing Fee, bank charges on sterling transfers are waived and customs duty is waived for items requisitioned for the Trust. We also had a computer donated – not new, but helpful, as one of the registered charities which applied for the same.
