The Trust received two applications for the post of Project Officer. The Trust will defer making an appointment until it has confirmed its financial position. The Project Officer post was established under the OTEP funded Conserving St Helena's Gumwoods Project which is due to end this year and at the present time it hasn't secured funds to extend the salary for the post beyond the end of March. The Trust intends to seek confirmation quickly so that work on its projects is not deleteriously delayed. In the meantime progress with the Gumwoods Project and the Heart Shape Waterfall is being made with help from Rebecca Cairns-Wicks and members of the Trust council.

Disappointingly no applications were received for the post of Director, however help is at hand. The RSPB has come forward with a generous offer of support that will enable us to develop a more enticing salary package. Negotiations are underway and we hope to re-advertise very shortly.
